Planning restrictions meant that the building could not impinge on a 45 degree line of sight from the neighbour's property on the left hand side of the photos. We came up with this design which features a conservatory and a tiled roof extension that are linked together and both linked back into the main bungalow.
The proximity of Oak trees meant 2-metre deep fooings were required, as was a beam and block suspended concrete floor. We landscaped and paved the garden using the increasing popular Indian Sandstone.
