Solar control glass has improved dramatically in the last few years, to the point where blinds are no longer required in south-facing conservatories. However, this conservatory was built before these advancements and therefore has roof blinds fitted.

The low height of the first floor windows meant that a box-gutter was required, as the roof needed to slope back down against the house. Electric heaters were fitted to match the intended decor, and new timber doors replaced the antiquated sliding patio doors.
