This lean-to was built over an bay-window that the clients did not to remove. The roof had to clear the top of the bay, go above some patio doors, but slope down so it was below the top of the garage roof! There is also a soil vent pipe that clients did not want to move/replace, so roof was built around it.

The simple lean-to style works well in this situation as the existing building was very busy, and complicated design of conservatory would have been too much; sometimes less is more!
